Super Moon

Be sure to look out for the Moon these next few months as it approaches Perigee, because the full moons during these times will appear exceptionally large. The Moon will be at its Perigee, or closest approach, in July 23 and it will reach full moon only a few minutes after it passes this point in its orbit.
These ‘super moons’ not only appear larger because they are physically closer but, combined with a full moon, the mind can play tricks on you to think they are much larger. This phenomena is called the Moon Illusion. Try to catch these full moons as they rise/set because the illusion works when there is an object in the foreground, like a tree, building or mountains.(via we-are-star-stuff)

Seriously, Angelina Jolie, a woman who would most likely attribute her start in her own career to her beauty and physical appearance, but who surpassed that and decided to commit her life to charity, and proved her professionalism and skill by moving off-camera to direct film to show that she had not only beauty and great acting skills, but also an amazing mind

to remove her breasts, the very body part that most of her audience chooses to focus on rather than her acting skills, and what her directors and producers highlighted above all other aspects of her films to draw crowds, the very attribute that probably gave her her career,
in order to prevent very likely suffering and pain for her and her family
and we laugh at her?
Angelina Jolie is a huge inspiration because she is the only woman in her situation that I can think of that would sacrifice such a prominent symbol of her sexuality, and not try to hide it or be discreet about it, but cast away her vanity in order to encourage other women who are at risk to not feel shame in a mastectomy. Many women who are presented with this option decide not to undergo this life-saving operation even though it would save them a lifetime of suffering, simply because of the stigma associated with a woman’s breasts being removed.
Above all, Angelina Jolie has been called a sex symbol her entire career, and many women look to her as the ideal vision of female beauty and sexuality. For her to remove her breasts is a way of confirming to modern women that body image is not important. She is a GOD of modern beauty. For her to make this choice is the most significant thing that I have heard of anyone like her doing in a very long time.
